This year has gone by really quickly. It seems like the summer was just beginning, yet somehow, it’s already behind us. With Halloween coming up, winter is on the way, which I still can’t really believe. Whatever the case, it’s now time to start planning for Halloween, as I’ll need a costume this year. This is always the best time to get it out of the way in order to avoid worrying about what to get last minute.

There’s really no use in leaving things for the very end. Everyone is out during those last few days. Lines are long, there’s little left in the stores, and you’ll usually end up getting something that’s one of the last things left on the rack. What you want will probably be sold out by then.

Well, now’s the time to make a move. There are plenty of costume ideas out there, and much of it depends on your gender. Here are a few to potentially start you off.

Many people love to mimic famous people on Halloween and end up with some very recognizable, creative outfits. 2009 was the year of quite a few celebrities, and Susan Boyle could be an interesting one, regardless of gender.

Another one that the guys might enjoy is a Michael Jackson costume. Like the Boyle outfit, any female with long hair could probably pull this one off too.

These also make for entertaining and interesting costumes. If you can get the wig, the glove, some makeup, and the right kind of outfit, this can make for a great costume.

Don’t be surprised to see plenty of Barack Obama halloween costumes out there too. Supporters and detractors will probably both create variations of this costume.

An Obama Halloween costume really wouldn’t be too hard to put together, so give it a shot if you’re feeling adventurous enough. You’ll surely get a laugh out of people who see you.
